High power density capacitor for low-altitude E-aviation

The capacitor and busbar assemblies can be fully personalized to match voltage, ripple current and mechanical requirements of low-altitude aerocraft. Flair developed a intergrated busbar film capacitor for low-altitude aircraft.

The busbar film capacitor can meet the life requirements of aircraft operation for 3000h, and the capacitor limit test condition runs continuously for 4000h under the working condition of high temperature 115℃ and high voltage 400Vdc. The capacitor still maintains excellent electrical performance and function, and the capacity attenuation is less than -3%.

The applied aerocrafts data:

  1. Rated power: 20kW
  2. Peak Power: 25kW
  3. 3 Phase current: 63A
  4. Busbar voltage: 275V
  5. Switch frerquency: 10khz
  6. Ambient: 110℃
  7. Oil cooling heat dissipation: 105℃

Film capacitor reference parameter:

  1. Rated capactance: 150uF
  2. Rated voltage: 400V
  3. Rated ripple current: 50A
  4. Busbar current: 72A
  5. Stray inductance: ≦10nH
  6. Working enviroment: -45℃~115℃high-power-density-capacitor

Will the low-altitude aircrafts be the next popular transportation?

The low-altitude logistics innovation pilot work focuses on creating a number of low-altitude logistics application scenarios in areas such as instant distribution, medical supplies distribution, and regional connections. Encourage qualified logistics hubs (parks) to open low-altitude logistics cargo routes, and explore the application of low-altitude aircraft carrying cargo in the transport airport off-site cargo station, shipping supplies and other scenarios.

Application scenario of low altitude aerocrafts

  1. Expand the application scale of low-altitude smart logistics. Develop general aviation logistics services, and encourage qualified regions or enterprises to actively carry out low-altitude logistics distribution business. Support the exploration and establishment of a low-altitude instant distribution network under conditions that meet safety requirements.
  2. Expand low-altitude public service scenarios. We will expand the application scenarios of emergency rescue, medical aid, agriculture, forestry and plant protection, land mapping, urban and rural governance, public safety supervision, ecological environment, meteorology, and inspection and inspection of electric power, rivers, lakes and warehouses, and traffic lines in a comprehensive and orderly manner.
  3. Enrich low-altitude recreational tourism. Relying on characteristic tourism resources, the development of scenic spots, resorts, theme parks and other low-altitude tourism consumption market. We will build a number of special aviation flight camps, support the development of mass aviation sports and leisure activities, and encourage all localities to actively host various aviation sports, unmanned aerial driving and other activities.
  4. Develop new low-altitude feature application scenarios. With the direction of scene "transformation" industry and scene "education" industry, we will give full play to the resource advantages of regional economy and explorecharacteristic application scenarios. By promoting the layout of urban air traffic route networks in a steady and orderly manner, and encourage cities with conditions to carry out urban air traffic scenarios such as eVTOL and helicopters.

When will the low-altitude e-aviation ecomony be on vogue?

There are many application in tourism, security inspection, medical rescue, aerial fire protection, agriculture and forestry protection, express logistics, etc.

The potential of low-altitude aerocraft as a future mode of transportation hinges on their ability to navigate and function effectively in diverse atmospheric conditions. The consideration of factors such as air density and cooling properties is crucial for the design and implementation of these vehicles. By addressing these challenges, the industry can pave the way for the widespread adoption of e-aircraft, offering a sustainable and efficient alternative to traditional transportation methods.

Moreover, the emphasis on safety and reliability in the design of these components ensures that e-aircraft can operate with minimal risk, further enhancing their appeal as a viable transportation option. As technology continues to advance, the integration of sophisticated electronic solutions will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of low-altitude e-aviation, making it a viable and attractive mode of transportation for the masses.
